A Tan With A Plan

Summertime and the living’s easy…

Well, not exactly yet, but it has been quite the mild winter and we’re all getting ready for our February breaks. If you’re headed somewhere sunny (you lucky lady, you) or are planning ahead for the summer beach months you ought to consider coming in…we’ve got tons of sunny accessories you’ll feel naked (and burned) without!

Enough chit chat, shall we begin?

This bag–we are obsessed. It’s sturdy and durable: simply perfect for sandy beaches and rough waves (actually, probably try to keep it on shore). Throw in your flippy-floppies, towel, and a trashy mag and you’re all set, beach babe.

Speaking of flippy-floppies…

We are carrying everybody’s favorite sandals…Havaianas! Ours of course have special detail–Buddha and Evil Eyes adorn the center of these flops.  These are just right for the beach but are elegant enough to be paired with a maxi or nighttime outfit–yummy, versatility. We have them for the kiddies as well.

We value a nice bronze from sunshine kisses just as much as the next girl, but more than that we value sun safety. And so we’re enforcing protecting your skin from deadly rays with comfy sarongs and floppy hats.

In store we have batik-printed sarongs in vibrant colors that can be worn in oh-so-many ways. Check out this nifty user’s manual:

Look at her smile! You’ll be feeling just as gleeful after you learn how to work that sarong. Mmmhmm..from beach to chic!

You’ll have to come and see all of the glorious prints we carry.

We love our floppy hats–they’re light and knit which means you won’t feel overheated and they won’t crush in your suitcase (we fuh-reaking hate when that happens! A crushed fedora is a sad hat!).

You’ll look undoubtedly cute while protecting your keppy (just one more nudge–these are unbelievably affordable).

Now that you’re equipped with you tan-of-attack, sprint on over to Linda’s to pick up the goods.

Stay trendy, sunshines!

Linda’s Week of Love: The Finale

We’ve reached the finale of Linda’s Week of Love and we’re wearing our hearts on our sleeves. And today our wrists. And our necks. And anywhere else we can deck ourselves out with Judith Leiber. Yes, we’ve just received stunning statement pieces from Judith Leiber, all worthy of our grand finale.

Judith Leiber’s jewelry collection leaves us speechless. We made sure to order only one of each of the styles we carry to ensure the lucky receiver looks as special as she deserves to. We’ll show you two of the items we felt Linda’s couldn’t thrive without.

If you are panting for a Judith Leiber come in (or subtly nudge your man to do it) sooner than later–we’re expecting these to fly.

Happy Valentine’s Week, darling ladies! We hope you’re in love with everything that we love this week!

Stay trendy!

Linda’s Week of Love: Episode 3

Well, well, well, look who came around for episode 3 of Linda’s Week of Love! Thanks for joining us, we’re looooooving seeing you around these neck of the woods.

So let’s get straight to it today, we’ll try not to get too lovey-dovey (but we’re struggling).

Friday, February 10; 11-6.

We just started carrying SolTash, a jewelry company that infuses every piece with energy, happiness and balance. The designs are made with beautiful gemstones that have been used as a source of healing for centuries. The one of a kind, hand-crafted items are so special. Many of their clasps are magnetic, which we love–no snagging! What should you be expecting? Stackable chunky bracelets, marvelous statement necklaces, and longer chains for everyday wear.

Ghazal and Emily, SolTash designers, will be in the store Friday, February 10, from 11-6. They’re inspiring and fun to talk with, so definitely make some time in your crazy schedule to see their gorgeous stuff.

Speaking of gorgeous stuff, ATTENTION ALL MEN: These girls are stunning. So, this Friday is really the time for you to get over here (we won’t tell, plus you won’t be able to not pick up a beautiful piece for your lady, so it’s not like you’re being bad. Nothing wrong with looking, guys.) Care for a sneak preview?

Right, so we’ll be seeing you on Friday. Valentine’s might be a day of love, but we don’t criticize for sneaking in a little bit of…lust.

Stay trendy, love birds!

Xoxo,

Linda’s Week of Love: Episode 2

Welcome back to Linda’s Week of Love! We hope your day has been filled with love so far, and if not, perhaps this post can inspire.

Thursday, February 9th; 12-6

Have you been listening to us about Kings of Cole? The to-die-for luxury lounge brand makes the softest sweats in town. The fabric is rich (honestly, just come in to touch) and the color gorgeously saturated. The rose gold zippers are the main attraction–this detail really makes the line stand out and the clothes your go-to comfy (but not shlumpy) wear. You can throw on these sweats and go anywhere–not only are they socially acceptable to wear outside of the house, they’re socially enviable. We are in love. Check out who’s wearing them these days:

Um, yeah, that is Mr. Taylor Lautner. So feel free to buy these for your guy–he’ll be ever so pleased to snuggle up next to you in complete comfort.

The ladies of Kings of Cole will be in store taking special orders this Thursday, February 9th, from 12-6. Make sure to meet these Long Island locals–they are so adorable and fun, and the real celebrities in our eyes. You don’t want to miss them!

We think a nice set of sweats (or a single piece, or a little mix and match) is a divine gift to unwrap on the day of love. Maybe you’ll be exhausted after a ::wild night::, maybe you’re staying in couching it with your honey, maybe something else. However you decide to celebrate, these will for sure refurbish that classic “slip into something more comfortable” cliche at the end of the night.

Stay trendy, see you Thursday for the show!

Linda’s Week Of Love

Hello, lovelies!

Good afternoon, incredible cherubs!

How y’all doing, adorable angels?

Love is in the air! We love love.

We are so pumped for this upcoming week. Can you tell? If love was a beverage we’d be lovaholics, our love juice might be taken off the market for its deadly combination of love, caffeine and more love. Yippee, l-o-v-e.

Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner we’ve planned some super special stuff. We will be featuring three incredible designers we LOVE and wanted to let you know about the schedule so you can plan accordingly (meaning: we’ll be seeing you every day, muahaha).

  • We will be carrying Debra Skyler’s jewelry line Light By Sky in store all next week starting Monday, February 6th.
  • The girls from our new favorite luxury lounge line, Kings of Cole, will be stopping by on Thursday, February 9th, from 12-6. Come meet these cool cats and special order some lush sweats for your love, or better yet, yourself (you have to love yourself first–and what better way?).
  • On Friday, February 10th, Soltash–our newest funky jewelry line–will be having a trunk show. This week is trunk-a-licious! This is must-see stuff, ladies (and gents–ahem, it is Valentine’s fellas).
  • Just a teeny tiny FYI (no actually, this is huge): We now carry very select pieces from Judith Leiber’s unbelievable (unbe-lieber-ble?) jewelry line. The styles are standout and shiny and really make an impeccable gift.
Keep your eyes on your monitors for special updates on these divine events. We’ll be giving you sneak peeks all week to entice you to come on in and see what’s in store. Love you love you love you!!!!

Stay trendy, our darling valentines!

Xoxo,

The loving crew at Linda’s g2g

Spring 2012: What We Love

Hey darlings. New trends are being born everyday for the upcoming season What do we love? We’re going to count it out for you in an easy 1-2-3:

  1. Shoes
  2. Shorts
  3. Bags

Yup, easy as that…do you copy? Shoes. Shorts. Bags. Say it with us now: Shoes. Shorts. Bags. Got it? Okay. We’ve got killer stuff in all three departments (pop quiz: Shoes. Shorts. Bags.) that will have you rocking springtime whether Phil the groundhog sees his shadow or not.

Shall we begin?

1. Shoes

Shoes, glorious shoes. We have two pair in store that we’re willing to let you see from the comfort of your own swivel chair. These babies will have you coming into the store feet first, as your dogs will be begging to slip into them.

Exhibit A:

The Caballero Ankle Boot mixes the classic cowboy look with a bit of flair. While they are attention getters they won’t steal the show from any getup. Think of them as the best supporting actor–a credible player but certainly no diva. The Gayle to your Oprah. Honestly, you can wear these bad boys with anything: we’re envisioning feminine dresses, cute cutoffs, and of course your go-to jeans. One of our girls is sporting them with our basic SOLOW leggings today!

Exhibit B:

Okay, come on. The Rock & Candy Chopper is a sneaker with more than a twist. We’ll give it to you straight: these are simply bad ass. We carry them in the ever-so-versatile black color as well as the too-cool-for -school white variation (though please, take the liberty to wear these to school). Again, pair these sneaks with a dress, jeans, or leggings, and prove to the world that style and comfort are not mutually exclusive.

We’re also awaiting some crazy cute Havaianas with delicious detailing that will make your toes smile. Get your pedis sooner than later so you’ll be able to pull these off…we’ll let you know when they arrive!

Stay with us, studious ladies…we’re moving on to chapter two.

2. Shorts

Yo shorty. We. Love. Shorts. There’s no other way to say it. They make us want to shout from the rooftops, declare our love in religious ceremonies (that sometimes gets awkward). As you may know, we’re big proponents of making our shorts wearable for all four seasons. We suggest tights when it’s chilly and bare (hopefully shaven) legs when the sun shines. Ready to drool?

These shorts make us want to plan a vacation…they are quite influential in that way. In the meantime, like we said, we’ll sport them with tights and our legs will be like flowers waiting to sprout from the cold hard winter soil (weird?).

Last but certainly definitely most undoubtedly not least…number three…BAGS.

3. Bags

We are always stocking up with (in our opinion) the most fabulous bags for every occasion–we’re touting everyday styles, the fancier assortment, and even weekenders.

::::Twinkle, twinkle fortune cookie shaped bag, this is an item you’ll want to snag!::::

Sorry for the cheesiness, but TBH this bag is TBD (decode for 3 brownie points). The Deux Lux hobo is so super cool and we have a few colors in store that you’ll have to come and check out yourself!

Seriously, if there was a Bag Lady award out there, Linda’s would surely get a nomination.

Checker out our bigger stuff:

And our sweet smaller collection:

That’s all the teasers we can provide for now…so ta ta on the blogosphere and hola in the real world–we we’ll see in store for spring goodness!

Stay trendy!

New Year, New Trends, Old Touches

Happy 2012! We’re only a week into January and we can already tell this is going to be one wild year for us at Linda’s. We have so much incredible merch in stock and on its way for the year and we are so pumped to share everything with you!

Although we’re well in the post-millenium years, we believe there is some value in old touches: we’re thinking vintage-inspired beading, rock and roll featured pieces, and even old-fashioned notecards to highlight a sentimentality we think is getting lost in the times.

Check out these detailed tops; the beading highlights and old-fashionedness while the shapes are modern and totally wearable:

For the kiddies we have rock and roll inspired jumpsuits and dresses. These are seriously cool. With shiny yet subtle detailing, your girls are sure to rock wherever they go: from the playground to the birthday party to the poolside. This line is fun, chic, and most importantly, comfortable for your mini me (we’re betting you’ll be a little jealous of her style and might even try to finagle her dress as a tunic for yourself). With Jimi Hendrix, The Beetles and Rolling Stones designs, your little ladies will be sporting old school prints while maintaining an edgy and unique look. (PS: a lot of these pieces are reversible. Can you say bang for your buck?) Moms, apologies for being old-fashioned, but what we know you’ll really love about these pieces is that they are DURABLE: as the company touts, they are “playground and washing machine friendly.”

Comfy and convertible!

This baby is reversible.

Another notable item we must share is the Superga sneaker. This year the girls will have the chance to dawn their feet with shine: these are totally wearable while still enticingly fashionable–the sparkles will bring some fun to anything she’s wearing.

Way too cute!

Finally, we have to share with you one of our most recently featured designers: Gert Block. This cool lady handcrafts everything from note cards to one-of-a-kind brooches that are sure to spruce up any outfit (G2G tip: if you ever spill a little something on your blouse, cover it up with one of these bad boys and you’ll be even more fashionable than you ever intended. Ha!).

Gert Block reconstructs vintage watches and gems to make a totally new and unique pieces. Each piece of hers is a treasure: it’s like digging through your grandmother’s jewelry box and loving everything you find.

There’s nothing better than sending a hand written card; Gert’s kitschy cute designs would be a dream to receive via snail mail. You MUST come in and see for yourself!

We hope you getting good vibes from 2012–come shop and see for yourself what kind of old touches you’ll need to add into this year’s wardrobe.

Stay Trendy!

2011, It’s Been Real…

Happy holidays, lovely ladies!

We adore this time of year–hot drinks, comfy accessories, and oh so much to be thankful for. 2011 has been one heck of a year for us at Linda’s G2G; our success at the new location has exceeded our expectations, and we absolutely could not have done it without YOU, our wonderful customers. We’re so pumped to ring in the new year (and yes, we all already have our outfits picked out) and can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store for us! We promise there will be much in our store for you to look forward to.
